The election is over.
Now what? We have a "Catholic" president who claims to be pro-life, but..... (how often have you heard that - I'm pro life but.....??!!!) And a vice-president who is just but one heart-beat (literally) from being the president who (again, literally) holds the Senate in her hands. Not to be political (I tend to avoid such matters) unless my faith demands otherwise, so....
Now what? What's the Pro Life future? I've been pondering that question certainly before, but especially after, the election.
Which brings me to Timmerie Soza. She is a mid-to late 20 something (maybe just barely 30?) show host on Relevant Radio. She is a breath of fresh air to say the least!! Thanks be to God, she and her husband just had a beautiful baby girl (during Advent!) after having struggles conceiving. She is still out on maternity leave, but returned for a special broadcast of her show "Trending With Timmerie" on January 22 - the anniversary of the devasting Roe Vs. Wade supreme court legistation from the bench (and that's what it was).
Like, I said, Timmerie is a breath of fresh air. So young, yet so full of faith and love for Jesus Christ - and she's from California, no less. I will not even attempt to summarize what she has to say on this issue, for I cannot. But I will strongly encourage you all to listen to it - granted, it is about 50 minutes long, but trust me, those 50 minutes will fly by and will (hopefully) be the best investment of 50 minutes you made in a long time. I know they were for me.
There is a lot to ponder and reflect on given what she has to say. I know I struggle each and every day with how I - just one person - can affect change. Timmerie has given me hope, and maybe it is just by being a witness to the faith (hence, this posting) by my actions will bear fruit. I can only hope and pray. Yet I know I need to do more for it pains me ever so deeply thinking that our Blessed Mother is weeping....
I do hope you listen to this broadcast. You will not be sorry. And perhaps some (and you know who you are!!) will realize why I am so passionate about the state of leadership - or lack thereof - in my home state. I pray for our leaders and I pray that we (myself included) do not put our own, perhaps selfish, issues before God's truth. Something about idolizing false Gods comes to mind.......
Anyway, please, take the time to listen to this broadcast, you will not be sorry. I wasn't!
Peace and God Bless us all.
